Teaching English as a Foreign Language - Rome
The TEFL/TESOL certificate course is demanding,
but if you are going to study somewhere, best to
do it in pleasant surroundings in a place where
you have a beautiful view and excellent food,
right?
The ancient Romans called Rome “The Eternal
City” as they believed it would go on forever and
indeed this seems to be the case. From
Michelangelo to Giotto, from Ancient Rome to the
modern city, the Italian capital has been an
inspiration for artists, architects, emperors and
visitors for
thousands of years.
Whether
you want to visit ruins
a
nd buildings, walk on big alleys or cobbled
streets, admire frescoes, paintings or statues,
Rome has it all.
Another good reason to consider Rome for your
TEFL/TESOL course is because Italy has a thriving
English Teacher job market. So, from the moment
you arrive you can start building your future.
Our only requirements are that applicants be
aged 18 years or more and possess fluent English
skills (C1+ of the CEFR).
Our 4-week TEFL/TESOL courses include:
•
at least 120 hours of coursework;
•
at least 6 hours of practicum (live
practice teaching and observation with
actual non-native English speakers);
•
at least 6 hours of observation of
experienced teachers;
•
at least 3 hours of a foreign language
experience (Italian / Russian / French);
•
an accredited curriculum from a
recognised, independent organisation
within the field;
•
instruction provided by qualified
instructors (who have an equivalent to a
Master’s Degree in TESOL or related field
and 5+ years’ experience).
TEFL International courses are intensive; however,
our trainers will help every trainee in accordance
with individual needs and all trainees will have
sufficient time in which to work on the course as
well as explore the local area and culture.
Our emphasis is on practicality, so you know you'll
be prepared for the classroom once you've earned
your certification.
We normally begin at 10:30-11:00 and set you free
as early as 7pm unless you have an experienced
teacher observation. Furthermore, we have one of
the best coffee shops in Rome right next to the
school!
Catch the bouncing ball and become
a certified English teacher.
